We have completed a home surveillance installation at Famba Home — a compact eight-camera system with full-colour night coverage and remote viewing from a phone.
The brief
Not every project is a hospital. The requirement here was simple and specific: see the gate, the driveway, the compound and the back door, day or night, from a phone — without a rack of equipment in the study or a monthly fee that grows every year.
What we installed
- Bullet cameras on the gate, driveway and perimeter, with full-colour night imaging so a night-time clip shows a vehicle and its colour rather than a silhouette.
- Dome cameras at the main entry points, where a lower-profile housing was wanted.
- Centralised recording sized for a sensible retention period, agreed with the household rather than set by default.
- Remote viewing on mobile, with live view and playback.
- Surge protection and backup power on the recording equipment, because power is not always kind to electronics.
Keeping it simple
The system was deliberately kept to one interface with no subscription. Everything the household needs — check the gate, review last night, export a clip — is reachable in two taps, and the setup was documented and left with the house.
Handover and support
End-to-end support is part of every deployment we do. The household was trained on live view, playback and export, and we remain available for maintenance and for adding cameras later.
