We have completed a security and life-safety installation at Curry & Crunch Hotel, covering the kitchen, service areas, reception and parking — with fire detection and public address integrated on the same platform.
The brief
Hospitality asks a system to do two jobs at once: protect the business and protect the guest experience. Cameras belong in the kitchen, the service corridors, reception and the car park; they do not belong in guest rooms or in private dining spaces. Add a hot kitchen to the picture and fire detection stops being optional. The hotel also needed announcements to be clearly audible in the restaurant and bar during peak service.
What we installed
- Dome cameras at reception, the service corridors and the restaurant perimeter — discreet in guest-facing areas.
- Bullet cameras on the parking area, the delivery entrance and the bin store.
- Kitchen and stores coverage focused on stock movement and handover points.
- Fire detection — Automatic Fire Detectors (420 Series) and Smoke Detectors (500 Series) — with kitchen-appropriate placement.
- Public address in the restaurant, bar and service areas, so announcements cut through peak service noise.
- Unified management software running video, fire and PA from one interface.
Where we deliberately did not install
No guest room and no private dining space is covered, and the system is configured to enforce that rather than rely on discipline. Stating it plainly is part of the handover: guests are told what is monitored and where, which is both the honest thing to do and the reason the rest of the coverage is trusted.
Handover and training
Consultation, installation and maintenance are included on every deployment. Management were trained on reporting and playback, and kitchen and service staff on the fire and PA layers they will actually use.
