We have completed a surveillance installation for Furniture Zoo, covering the showroom floor, the warehouse and store, the loading bay and the till point.
The brief
Furniture retail has an awkward risk profile. The stock is bulky, high-value and easy to damage in transit, and the showroom floor doubles as the sales floor — customers are meant to handle the product. Losses therefore come from three directions: shrinkage in the store, damage at the loading bay, and disputes at the till. The brief was to give the owner clear evidence on all three without cameras that made the showroom feel like a warehouse.
What we installed
- Box cameras with varifocal lenses down the long warehouse aisles, where a fixed lens would either waste pixels on the ceiling or miss the far end.
- Dome cameras across the showroom floor and at the till point — discreet, tamper-resistant and unobtrusive to customers.
- Bullet cameras on the loading bay and the yard gate, covering loading, offloading and vehicle movement.
- PTZ coverage over the yard for live tracking during deliveries.
- Centralised recording and management with remote viewing, so the owner can check the floor after hours from a phone.

Handover and training
Store and warehouse supervisors were trained on playback and export — the two things that matter when a claim or a dispute lands — and we scheduled a follow-up session once the team had used the system through a busy period.
