We have completed a home security installation at Richards Home, covering the gate, compound and garage, with biometric and mobile access control and a clean, fully contained cable run throughout.
The brief
The household wanted three things: control over who comes through the gate, clear footage of the compound and garage, and an installation that did not look like an afterthought on a finished house. Keys had already proven to be the weak point — they get copied, lent and lost, and nobody can tell who used one.
What we installed
- Biometric access control on the main door, with smart card and RFID readers as a fallback for household staff and family.
- Mobile-based access so the household can authorise a visitor or a delivery remotely.
- Bullet cameras on the gate, perimeter and garage approach.
- Dome cameras at the entry points, keeping a lower profile on the living areas.
- Centralised management software with per-user credentials, so every access event is attributed to a named person.
The finish matters
On a completed home, the installation is judged on how invisible it is. Every run was surface-contained and clipped, painted to match where it was visible, and no cable was left exposed. Penetrations were sealed, which keeps both the weather and the insects out.
Handover and training
End-to-end support is standard on every deployment — consultation, installation and maintenance. The household was trained on enrolment, revoking access, live view and playback, and on what to do when a staff member leaves.
